Open call of the project EU for Green Agenda in Serbia for co-funding the best business solutions
The project “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” has launched the perennial Challenge Call for Proposals for innovative solutions for the green transition of the Serbian society and economy. This Challenge Call for Proposals aims to support innovative solutions in the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, particularly in area of Decarbonization, energy efficiency, and reduction of industrial emissions. We are seeking project ideas, business models, technologies, and applicable solutions that align with key laws, regulations, and policies addressing climate change and pollution. Eligible applicants include IPPC operators who need integrated permits, public and private companies, research institutions, and local self-governments. Selected applicants will receive mentoring, technical support, and potential co-funding to implement their solutions. IPPC sector solutions can receive a grant of up to 40% of the total investment, capped at EUR 250,000.
The “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” initiative, with the technical and financial support of the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, is implemented by UNDP, in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with additional funding from the Governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Serbia.
The Call for innovative ideas will remain open until the “EU for Green Agenda in Serbia” concludes in 2026. Applications will be evaluated and selected in multiple cycles. The concept application can be submitted at any time, and the deadlines for evaluating and selecting projects for the next stages of development will be announced in the second part of the year.
