IED Serbia project workshop held in Novi Sad

In the scope of the project “Green Transition – Implementation of the Directive on Industrial Emissions in Serbia 2021-2025”, a detailed two-day training was held on drafting integrated permits. The workshop was part of the mission of international experts on the project and was held in Novi Sad with a field visit to the Regional Landfill facility in Subotica.

Participants of the event were greeted by Bojana Vukadinović, IED Serbia project manager, after which international experts on the project Tom Stafford, Frank Clinton, and Leo Sweeney spoke about the general principles of drafting integrated permits, the Seville process, setting permit conditions in accordance with BAT conclusions (BATc) and other related topics with special reference to drafting integrated permit for landfills.

The workshop was attended by Aleksandra Imširagić Đurić, Assistant Minister, and employees from the Ministry, the provincial secretariat, and local self-governments who work on issuing integrated permits, as well as representatives of other departments of the Ministry that deal with waste management, water, noise emissions, accidents and other issues covered by the IPPC permit.
