In early November in Belgrade, a working meeting was held with the competent authorities responsible for issuing integrated permits from all levels regarding the revision of two bylaws, which pertain to the layout of the application for integrated permit and the content of integrated permit. The Ministry of Environmental Protection and the IED Serbia project jointly organised the event with the aim of gathering information on identified issues in the process of drafting integrated permits and discussing proposed changes to existing regulations.
Amending the regulations mentioned above in line with the existing IPPC Law is to increase the efficiency of the integrated permit issuance process and simplify the procedure for industry representatives and competent authorities. The IED Serbia project experts presented a compliance analysis of existing regulations with the Industrial Emissions Directive and proposed amendments to the rulebooks on the application for an integrated permit and the layout of an integrated permit.
The primary objective of these consultations is to gather information about the current state of integrated permit issuance and any existing issues, as well as to establish opinions and views on the proposed bylaw amendments. The Ministry will continue consultations on the amendments to the mentioned regulations in the coming period in writing, after which new bylaws will be prepared with the support of the project.
