IED Serbia Project at the meeting of Negotiation Group for Chapter 27

Meeting of Negotiation Group for Chapter 27 (Environment) related to comments of the European Commission to the second draft of Negotiation Position and Action Plan for further supplementing and submission was held in mid-March in the Palace of Serbia. The IED Serbia project manager, Ms. Bojana Vukadinović, presented the status of preparation of the Directive Specific Implementation Plan (DSIP) for Industrial Emissions Directive, implemented within the first component of the IED Serbia project. At the end of February, the European Commission sent comments to the second draft of Negotiation Position for Chapter 27. Head of the Negotiation Team of Serbia with the EU, Ms. Tanja Miščević, stated at the meeting that DSIPs are very important documents, since they follow implementation of negotiation position, and she also emphasised that they must receive guarantees from the Government that they will be implemented. She added that it was planned that the Government of Serbia adopts the Negotiation Position for Chapter 27, as well as specific implementation plans by the end of the year.
