The new newsletter of the IED Serbia project brings latest updates on our activities, results achieved, and future plans aimed at strengthening sustainable industrial practices in Serbia.
The ninth edition of the IED Serbia newsletter highlights two newly issued integrated permits, based on drafts prepared by our team in collaboration with the competent authorities in the previous period. Additionally, this issue brings news about three recently held workshops for primary school students titled “Eco Heroes – Let’s Learn to Protect Nature,” which are expected to attract even more attention in the future, not only from students and teachers but also from other stakeholders in the field of environmental protection.
This issue also includes an interview with Prof. Dr Mirjana Kijevčanin, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade. In the interview, Prof. Kijevčanin shares her insights into the key role of the faculty in educating future environmental protection experts, as well as the importance of collaboration with projects such as IED Serbia, which offer new opportunities for connecting academia, industry, and other relevant stakeholders. She also discusses the challenges faced in the green transition process and how students can contribute to this process through concrete actions and innovative solutions.
