Workshop for Competent Authorities Held as Part of the Second Training Module

A two-day workshop aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of representatives of competent authorities involved in the integrated permitting process was held in Belgrade on 9–10 April 2025. The workshop, conducted as part of the second training module, focused on topics such as wastewater management, soil and groundwater protection, and waste treatment.

The training was led by international experts engaged through the IED Serbia project – Leo Sweeney and Tom Stafford. The workshop was organised in a hybrid format, allowing participation of those unable to attend in person.

More than 50 representatives of competent authorities at the national, provincial, and local levels had the opportunity to gain new knowledge and exchange experiences through practical examples and interactive discussions. At the end of the training, all participants received certificates.

This workshop was realised as part of the second of three planned training modules aimed at strengthening the capacities of competent authorities for issuing integrated permits.
