April Mission of International Experts within the IED Serbia Project

The IED Serbia project continues to support the Ministry of Environmental Protection in the preparation of the Negotiating Position in the field of industrial pollution. The revision of the Directive Specific Implementation Plan (DSIP) for the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), developed during the previous phase of the project, is currently underway, along with other documents relevant to this key negotiating process.

As part of these activities, representatives of the Department for Integrated Permits of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, with the support of international experts engaged through the IED Serbia project and the project team, visited the company “Beo Čista Energija d.o.o.” in Vinča, which is engaged in waste treatment, disposal and recovery, as well as the cement plant “Moravacem d.o.o.” in Popovac.

The purpose of these visits was to assess the compliance of the installations with Best Available Techniques (BAT) and the prescribed emission limit values for the relevant industrial activities.
